PreDesigner [Lens Calculator] for Android v8 February 12, 2015

Version 8 of the PreDesigner [Lens Calculator] for Android has been released and is in the Google Playstore.  Version 8 has three main enhancements:
- sliders for each parameter for quick, precise changes
- improved handling for users with hardware keyboards
- reduction in the number of required Android permissions from five to two!

Version 7 of the PreDesigner [Lens Calculator] for Android has just been released and is in the Google Playstore.  This version will be of especial interest to people who want to work with dimensions in something other than millimeters.  It also offers the ability to see the near and far sharp planes in the lens drawings - properly scaled!

As expected, there was much interest in the new or enhanced Gaussian Beam tools in PreDesigner and WinLens3D at the Laser show in Munich last month.  We have followed this up by releasing updates with new features in those programs.
